Helping people has always been a passion for me. Whether it was as a lifeguard in high school, a first responder/EMT on my Search and Rescue Team, or as a nurse, my life has always focused on helping people in need. Throughout my life, I have developed a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of physical and mental health.
My journey in healthcare began as an emergency department nurse. I continued my education and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. As a nurse practitioner, I have worked in the emergency department and in the immediate care center. Both experiences reiterated the importance of including mental health and wellness in my patient care. Because of this, I decided to go back to school for my PMHNP Certification, specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders across the lifespan.
As a PMHNP, I am committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and respected. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to care, working closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
With experience in both emergency and outpatient settings, I am adept at addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. I utilize a combination of medication management, psychotherapy techniques, and holistic interventions to promote healing and recovery.
Outside of the office, you can find me with my family out exploring nature and traveling. I believe in the importance of self-care and work-life balance, and I encourage my patients to prioritize their own well-being as well.
It’s truly an honor to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward mental wellness, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those I serve. If you’re seeking compassionate and personalized mental health care, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
